2pisto: tu pisto, tu pueblo
Remember the tienda on the corner, the pupusería that smelled like Sunday, the señora who sewed your school uniform? 2PISTO gives the owners behind those businesses fair-rate group loans — and every repayment funds the next one.

Example group loan · 5 members
Fair rates
Transparent, affordable terms designed for real small businesses — not profit.
Groups of five
Business owners apply together and share responsibility for the group loan.
Money that circulates
Repayments go straight back into the fund to make future loans possible.
One leader, one simple payment.
Under our planned model, all five business owners share responsibility for the group loan. They choose one leader to collect their payments and send one combined payment to 2PISTO.
1. Five members pay
Each of the five business owners gives their scheduled payment to the designated group leader.
2. The leader combines the payments
The leader collects all five members' payments into one group payment.
3. One payment goes to 2PISTO
The leader sends the combined payment to 2PISTO. Repayments received can help fund future loans, after costs and losses.
Your gift can be part of more than one story.
From the tienda on the corner to the morning pan dulce, your connection to El Salvador can help the people who keep our communities working.
You give
When giving opens, your support will help grow a community loan fund for small business owners in El Salvador.
A business grows
Selected groups of five share responsibility for fair-rate loans that can help their businesses move forward.
Loan repayments
The group leader collects payments and repays 2PISTO. Repayments help make the next group's loan possible.
Women first.
Women in El Salvador run many of the small businesses that hold our communities together, yet they are the ones most often shut out of fair credit. That's why women come first when we choose our borrowers — most of our loans go to them. But anyone with a solid business and a trustworthy group of five can count on us: we back the groups we believe in.
For those who carry El Salvador in their heart.
If you left home but never stopped missing it — the sound of the market, the smell of café de palo, the neighbors who were family — your support helps keep that El Salvador alive.
You don't have to be from El Salvador.
A loan that comes back is the most efficient gift there is.
Repayments, costs and losses.
A gift can support more than one business as loans are repaid and the fund lends again. Clear reporting will show repayments, costs and losses.
Two organizations in formation, one mission.
2PISTO Inc. is being formed as a Texas nonprofit; a 501(c)(3) application will follow. It is not yet incorporated and has no determination letter. Fundación 2PISTO El Salvador is also being formed in El Salvador. Neither organization is operating yet.
